We have specially designed a limited edition inaugural Qixi Fest collectible ceramic cup and saucer set called 星河 — a play on words referring to both the Milky Way as well as the Singapore River.
 
星河, carefully designed and crafted, is a unique cup and saucer set that aims to tell the story of a traditional folklore, and to commemorate the revival of the Qixi Festival in Singapore.
 
The special cup and saucer set are inspired by the shape of a magpie bird and the Milky Way respectively. The handle of the cup forms the magpie tail, with black-and-white plumage, a purplish-blue iridescent sheen to the wing feathers, and a green gloss to the tail. The curved plate is in a light blue shade.
 
This limited edition set was conceptualised and designed by festival director Lynn Wong, with input from local heritage tea brand Pek Sin Choon. The sets are created in partnership with local ceramic artist Ng Yang Ce of Synceramic.
